 Junior Competition

 13 years and under, 4 events Basic life support, Rope throw, Accompanied rescue, Swim & tow.

 Chester City LSC. 

 3 competitions, Sherlock Shield, 7 to 11 years, Robert Jones 12 to 16 years and Helen Kendall 16 years and above.

 Youth Competition

 2 competitions - teams of 4 - mixed teams - under 14's and under 18's

 Events as for Branch Eliminator

 Branch Eliminator for National Championships

 For different ages ask a TA for details. Competitors must be individual members of the RLSS for this competition.

 Land based initiative, water based initiative, timed rope throw and timed swim and    tow.

 Challenge Cup

 3 competitions - individuals - under12, 13-16, open

 Under 12 - rescue breathing, reach/throw initiative, wade rescue, straddle jump and pick up a brick.

 13-16 - life support, water based initiative, reach/throw initiative, locked swimmer rescue.

 Open - land based initiative, reach/throw initiative, locked swimmer rescue, contact rescue and defences.

 4 competitions - individuals - and teams of 2 (same sex) - 14 and over

 Resuscitation in water, contact tows, non-contact tows, various lifesaving techniques, (sidestroke, surfaces dives, stirrup lifts etc.)
